I was made a moderator of !retropirates@lemmy.dbzer0.com a while back, but now I'm not sure what to do with it. Direct links to newly dumped titles would be a violation of rule 3 (only reason I left the Grimace's Birthday post up is because the game was free in the first place so who cares). !roms@lemmy.dbzer0.com exists, and it itself is already niche but more popular than !retropirates@lemmy.dbzer0.com...

I'm not sure what to do with it that couldn't already be done in !piracy or !roms@lemmy.dbzer0.com... Do y'all think there's a good place for it on here? What would be a good way to differentiate it from !roms@lemmy.dbzer0.com and !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com?

This echoes my thoughts... Even simple question/answer to help others get old games working, useful links to emulation resources for older platforms etc.

With steam deck popularity, a new wave of inexperienced folks wanting to try things is guaranteed.
