I love, I love my Vegemite

It's strong as hell and black as night

I keep my love all screwed up tight

And spread it thick whenever I like, I like!

what happens if i eat marmite on this day

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That would be so un-Australian of you. (I don't mind Marmite but Promite is fucking disgusting)

I have not tried promite. I bought ourmate, the true version of marmite.

Our Mate is the Australian brand name for Marmite, because Marmite's name was taken by some other company. So if you want to get Marmite, buy Our Mate in Aus. Colesworth usually do it, but only in the little pots.

kidcalhoon1 smears the absolute smallest amount you can imagine onto her toast - it's like she's coluring in her toast ever so slightly with a light tan colour or something. I'm the opposite, big unsmeared bits nestled up against hunks of salted butter....i like all the salt see

My husband's like you. 3 tablespoons on a piece of toast then he shows me and says "You call yourself an aussie. That's how you do Vegemite".

[–] RosaliePreistley@aussie.zone 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I might finish my last ever jar then. There's a lot left. I need to cut down on salt intake and I'll eat 10 rice cakes w / vegemite in a go then just eat marg and vegemite off the butter knife.

[–] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Marg! Marg! - that's barbaric! Butter only please.

I don't have anything polite to say about that.
