Speaking of MAGA, I recently heard a history professor say that, regarding fascism, your society is in trouble when you feel the need to assure yourself that you're not going to be targeted because you're in a "safe" group.
How about when you're anxious and taking fairly extreme precautions because you know you're not in a "safe" group?
Then you are probably not worried about the question whether your society is in trouble or not, you know it.
That's one less thing to worry about! Gotta stay positive!
I don't mean that. Burn the whole thing to the ground.
