Transition lenses are great. Try them for your next pair. They do lag a few seconds transitioning back to transparent when going indoors.
They kinda suck for driving though, because they don't turn dark inside a car.
I guess I never noticed. I always wear a ball cap when driving, always have before wearing glasses. Just another tool I use and have not given it much thought.
They will also go dark when itβs overcast outside because they react to UV and not visible light. So your glasses will get dark when itβs already cloudy, which is not great
They take ~2 minutes to go from dark to light and most don't ever go perfectly clear so there is always a super slight tint.
They go dark super fast though.. like 10 seconds.
