Rules:

Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. I can't believe I'm living though my country's Nazi era. History will not be kind to us. I hate all of this. My sister voted for this and I'll never forgive her.
My entire damned family voted for it... even my closest sibling who had never voted republican in her life... that other side indoctrinated hard... I'm so disgusted, and she even said "I'm so sad ice picked up one of my favorite co-workers!" "And you voted for that" apparently wasn't the comfort she was seeking.
I mean... these people are ignorant as shit.

It IS a drug - Dopamine - and they are addicted to it. The Conservative Propaganda Machine knows it, and feeds it, giving them constant hits of Dopamine all day.

Ignorant isn't the right word. There has been a coordinated propaganda campaign for 30 years pointing toward this goal. What you're seeing in these people didn't happen overnight. Yes they are also ignorant. Nazi sympathizers were average citizens. Fascist propaganda is a powerful drug.

Even if we can finally purge MAGA from our government, and even have it declared a terrorist/hate organization, how do we deal with millions of brainwashed idiots? They aren't going to change their minds easily, and accept that they were conned.
They were conned once, they can be easily conned again.
if only there were some prior precedent of a nation state going mad and hitting rock bottom in the most catastrophic way imaginable, then pulling its head out of its arse and going to become a productive member of the world economy we could look to. That would be most excellent, ja?
Germany is basically full circle back into right wing bs now.
Restore quality education to prevent future generations from falling into the same traps of flawed logic and propaganda.
Probably the best thing we can do to prevent it from happening again.
