If you don't want to be pestered with the notice box to donate to the tankie dev of Lemmy, you can plop this into uBlock: Origin to block the box from appearing.

Yeah it's FLOSS and you can do whatever you want with it - no doubt due to the leftist beliefs of the authors.

Regarding doing saying and thinking whatever one wants - yeah I didn't censor anyone, I'm not an unhinged mod with an appetite to ban anyone who disagrees with me - and there's no way to stop someone from thinking whatever they want anyway wtf are we even talking about?

I just thought it's in bad taste to use someone's FLOSS software whilst calling them slurs. Alternatives exist which would be more aligned ideologically with OP's beliefs, that's all.

I don't know if I'd really call Tankie a slur just because "tankies" don't use the term. That's like saying Thatcherite, carpet bagger, TERF or brownshirt are slurs. You may not identify with the term but we have a long way to go before its a slur.

that’s not a slur, and it’s craven of you to compare being disliked for your beliefs and behavior with being discriminated against for your skin color….
tankies are always pretending like everyone else is a racist liberal yet you keep trying to manipulate racism for sympathy.
tankie isn’t a race, religion, class or culture.
tankie is a descriptive term.
don’t like it? don’t advocate for authoritarian regimes that run over people’s skulls with tanks
