very promising sign that they're casting for the roles instead of casting for recognizable names. i am cautiously optimistic

Taika Watititi as Ganon and also directing
Andy Serkis as Epona.
And also the voice of Hestu the korok

Yeah I've got to say it is a very positive sign that I don't know either of these actors. Also helps with suspension of disbelief.
Definitely, and it's also wild just how out of left field these choices feel in general. Which is a good thing!
Possibly, but it also keeps the budget much lower. Are they casting the best people, or good people who also don't ask for a huge budget?
People young enough whose performance will define the role rather than the role being defined by a well known face. The question will be settled when they announce Ganondorf.
