This is how state Russian media works. Never cover the truth, like a war with Ukraine. It's a "special military operation".
Ok but what does US gov have to gain from just detaining random foreign civilians? I am geniuenly confused why this is happening.
Fascists want complete control, and it sends a message not to come here. They only want 'their kind', meaning white racist conservatives. Detaining is a power play. Just a reminder, this is the trump government, not the citizens. The majority of people are welcoming, only about 25% of Americans are complete and utter trash.
You say “only” but one in every four is a pretty significant amount of people who support jailing you just for being brown
Yeah, that’s a quarter of the population my dude. That’s not a good look. Why would anyone want to go to a place where 1 in every 4 people hate you?
There hasn't been a US government in my life time that wasn't unspeakably racist and evil, so it's kind of hard to believe the majority are welcoming.
American's will never fail to blame foreigners for all their problems. It's zero surprise America is in this state when both sides of it's political system are xenophobic nationalists who believe in the modern version of the Judeo-Bolshivik conspiracy theory.
