Spreadable butter has its place but just doesn't have the flavour of real butter.

I use Western star for cooking. Lurpak for spreading.

A cafe near my work once asked me if I wanted butter on my bacon and egg roll, I said yes. They then proceeded to smear margarine all over it 🤮

I saw an instagram post of someone using a mini sieve to kind of grate the butter block, and it looked as though it would work well.

when it's cold i microwave the butter for a few seconds
