Instead of doing anything constructive I have been reading about the Aboriginal stories about Raven (AKA Crow). Known as Waa to the Wurundjeri People. Waa was originally a white bird, who stole coals/fire from seven sisters who were keeping it to themselves. He either dropped some or ended up throwing it at other animals who were wanting to have some too, which is how fire came to be used by mankind. In the process Waa started a bushfire in which he was burned, which is how he became black.
good waa
Waa is an awesome thing to name a raven. A name I can hear!
I can hear it as well - but I think that's because there is one in the backyard right now!
There are several stories about crows I've heard from different nations. They usually count them among the cleverest and most mischievious of animals. I love thier stories.
