As a husband/boyfriend, I concur. I'm happy to help carry crap between stores and go to lunch together, but I'm not down to stand by while my SO weighs the pros and cons of two slightly different scents.
Those guys must be exhausted. They seem to design those sorts of chairs with the idea that they don't want people to sit on them for very long.

I remember a clothes shop in China having a little area for male companions to wait in comfort and I thought that was the most delightful attention ever!
