Not all communist are tankies. Tankies mainly get trashed by communist and anarchist.
"Tankie" is just a pejorative for communist, akin to "commie, pinko, and red." It's a caricature, not an actual ideological position.
Well, yes. In its caricature it still puts a focus in people who defend any state that calls itself communist in defiance of their institutional violence. So its not just any commi being a tankie
The overwhelming majority of communists support socialist countries like China, Cuba, Vietnam, etc. If "tankie" applies to the overwhelming majority of communists, then it's just a pejorative for communists.
