It's not often you meet someone who feels so entitled to making false assumptions about people. And who digs in even when it's pointed out that they're wrong.
Not going around assuming stuff about people is sorta just basic good manners. It's 2025 my friend. You put youself in some pretty interesting company by demanding to be allowed to assume stuff about people. Smdh.
If someone is going to incorrectly assume I'm an American I'd prefer the term Yank. It sounds better. But iiwii
It seems a little strained
I'm against that in general and against US defaultism more specifically, which is assuming everyone is American. I just think the particular term is strained. Yank is much better for example
