Fun fact but professional cycling regulations have a minimum bike weight of 6.8kg (14.99 lbs) so professional riders have even lighter bikes.

They actually don't. Most pro bikes weigh closer to 20lbs. These guys descend mountains at 90 mph, sprint at 45 mph, they are not going to risk their lives over what amounts to a few sips of water. The 14.99 number is for dentists.
