If they only sold mri machines it'd make much less sense, but they sell a lot of stuff and their name on a healthcare machine increases trust. When you sell stuff like this brand perception can go a very long way. That aside execs and designers might feel very proud to have produced this machine. But carry on with your scepticism, it's good practice.
