in this case, the 'parent' probably took the kid's sunglasses and put them on the dog--specifically to get a 'funny picture' to post online.

I wouldn't count on it. Kid could have put the sunglasses on the dog herself. Or an older brother or sister.

I knew a few kids who would absolutely do something like this and then be upset about the thing they just did.
