Nope, only the instance admin can follow other instances to get videos on the homepage you don't have to follow the instance to get videos from It in the search unless the instance doesn't use SEPIA search and some instances on peertube you have to request to follow, there's nothing similar to lemmyverse links I think it's called on peertube, the best is to just link the original instance link
