MODERATORS
One of the definitions of clip from Merriam-Webster is literally: "a magazine from which ammunition is fed into the chamber of a firearm", so you no longer need to make a distinction between clip and magazine because only gun nerds actually give a shit. English is fluid, we understood what OP meant.
