I was, not AOC. You and I can take the high road all we like as outsiders, but AOC shouldn't since it hasn't worked for the Democrats for 15+ years.
Shockingly enough there's more roads than ignoring blatant corruption and resorting to petty name calling.
The former doesn't nothing, as we've seen. And the latter is generally used by shifty characters trying to distract from truly heinous activity happening behind the curtain.
Neither is particularly effective at actually accomplishing anything other than widening the already vast political divide in this country.
They went low and you went so high that nobody else can even see you anymore.
Of course this shit works. Trump won almost exclusively because his voters love that he's a dick to people. Having higher standards than his voters is a good thing but that doesn't change the fact that the argument you're making here is categorically false. This is exactly the kind of language that resonates with the average idiot in America.

There is a very specific mindset and set of values that it works with. The kind of people who just want to see everyone they dislike get fucked over. They dont want to see things get better, they dont want to accomplish anything. They just want schadenfreude.
As you might be able to surmise, this doesn't end with a positive outcome.
Trump won specifically because he preaches division and fucking over "the other". Trying to emulate him is antithetical to getting rid of him and his ilk.
