Ubisoft unironically to the rescue (IIRC they had detailed 3d scans of the whole thing from an assassins creed game)
It only got them so far, but they were only as successful as they were because of AC Unity.
Really makes you wonder if England invested in halon fire suppression for ely cathedral, like a solid 70% of the roof structure is intricately decorated wood.

All wood including the fan vaulting and the entire transcept octagon which btw is walkable and has hidden doors that originally hid a choir that would appear from seemingly nowhere.
