- No memes, trolling, misinformation, or low-effort posts/comments (including reposts). If you see posts like this that anger you, do not engage. Report, block, and live a happier life than they do. Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. There was a dream that was the United States of America. A dream that any man, that anyone, could seek out their fortune and happiness. Being free to succeed, free to fail. But free above all else to seek happiness and liberty. This dream has never really been realised, but there was always hope that one day it could be. That The United States of America could be a place of hope, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness for all. That hope, that most fragile of things, is under attack. A dark cloud of control and censorship that seeks to stamp out that hope of freedom. If there was ever a line, it has surely been crossed now that theres masked men lifting people off the streets for the crime of "looking brown". At some point this has to stop being a battle in ones and zeroes, and needs to be taken to the very streets of those who would take away freedom and hope of the masses for their own gain. At some point, the line has to be drawn that the will of the people will not tolerate it being broken.
There are many tools to challenge tyranny in The United States of America. Legal, and otherwise. And it is, or should be, the duty of every citizen to use those tools to protect liberty, freedom, happiness and most of all, hope. To paraphrase the famous words of Jean Luc Picard,
"I will not sacrifice these United States. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They kidnap people in broad daylight under the guise of law, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they've done!".
