Verstappen is a beast. One and done for Q3.
What's happening with Piastri. Middling Q3 for him. Norris somehow ekes out a lap to get him to P2.
Happy to see Leclerc P3.
Bearman with a back-to-back Q3. Not bad.
Williams yet again with one driver out in Q1, one making it to Q3.
I wonder if Piastri's car has some kind of damage that they havent found yet. Would be pretty weird for him to suddenly lose his form.
It's strange too, because a mistake as simple as getting to the line on time for the last run of Q3 is something Max almost never does. It was strange to see no one be able to capatalize on it
Don't know if it was a Max thing or a Red Bull thing, considering the same happened for Tsunoda in SQ1.
Usually it's a bit of both, no? Team is responsible for when to release from pits, driver is responsible for out lap time and general lap preparation
Makes sense yeah, but there's only so much a driver can do during the outlap. If they go too fast they risk not having the tires in their optimal setting, plus they need to yield to drivers on a push lap.
Not to mention battery and fuel levels as well, that's usually why drivers never go for 2 laps in a row
