Proxmox VE is a complete, open-source server management platform for enterprise virtualization. It tightly integrates the KVM hypervisor and Linux Containers (LXC), software-defined storage and networking functionality, on a single platform. With the integrated web-based user interface you can manage VMs and containers, high availability for clusters, or the integrated disaster recovery tools with ease.
Sadly it's still missing quite some integrations with other corporate products, so my company decided to look elsewhere. They did briefly take a look and went 'nah'.
@iturnedintoanewt it's pretty good for the sort of "matters, but in a non-urgent way" kinds of workloads. Stuff like load-balanced frontend servers where there isn't really any data and I/O load to consider. Higher-stakes systems live on the more expensive platforms.
