From the ones you mentioned i tried PopOS and for me it works pretty fine. Its my first time real gaming pc on linux. Before that i had a little netbook with mint or some other ubuntu os.
For singleplayer games i hadnt any issues. Its mostly multiplayer games that arw broken because of the anticheat not enabling linux and not any other problem with the game itself. Its all out of the box i would say.
Only time i really need terminal is when i play minecraft. Only game thats a little broken. But still made it work even with a huge modpack
