Revision of Swiss surveillance law VÜPF would directly target VPN & encrypted chat and email providers based in Switzerland.

Some actors (I think Threema and a few others) already announced that if this goes through, they will launch a referendum, which I think has a good chance of finding enough signatures to succeed. So then the whole population would vote on it, and the result there is a bit harder to guess. But that still means there is hope.
