That makes it sound like you see "America" as a monolith, which it absolutely isn't.

I don't think that divisions by national border are really at the heart of the issue at all. Rather, it's the division between the rich and powerful and everyone else, as well as divisions within the rich and powerful.

I am against all of the rich and powerful, personally. I think that they should be equal to the rest of us. But there is certainly an element of them trying to undermine each other in this. Some of the rich and powerful of other countries rightfully see MAGA as bad for America (including the elites) and therefore see it as a way to get a leg up over their competitors.

Some of the rich and powerful in the US think that MAGA will be good for them, so they support it. Many of the others don't want to support it, but they also are strongly opposed to any real counter to MAGA.
