Some aspects of this are unique like the insurance scheme, but British Columbia, Canada has already implemented gig workers' minimum wage rules.

Yeah, I'm not overly impressed with the "world first" aspect here, workers insurance and minimum wage seem very mid 20thC type achievements, but it is good to finaly see this loophole closing, and led by a union.
