Windows 10 -> Linux:

• I really dodged a bullet not using Windows 11 ... is what I would say but just after switching I was told I have access to a free year of updates for Windows 10.
• Linux has not been smooth sailing but it's been manageable, still trying to find a distro that's secure, stable, and simple.
• I also had to try to teach someone Windows 11 recently which went about as well as you'd expect.

American candy -> Local candy:

• Less candy = more health and more money. Overall a complete victory.

Microsoft Outlook to Proton Mail:

• I CAN FINALLY ENABLE 2FA.

iOS (10 years old) to GrapheneOS (on a used phone):

• I CAN NO LONGER ENABLE 2FA (on my government services, Proton Mail works fine).
• For once I feel actually good about my phone rather than begrudgingly tolerate it.

Bluesky to anonymous frontend:

• Less Twitter arguments.

American streaming services to foreign services:

• Less stuff to watch means I'm less overwhelmed by choice.
