Gizmodo points out that smart glasses are still in an interesting phase where the there's a lot of experimentation on what exactly the feature set and even the form should look like which is similar to what happened with phones.

It's simple: give me a HUD with my vitals and other useful stats like a video game and show me the optimal response to get through dialogue.

We're definitely going to see something like that with these. Minimap is already there in some. A TODO app will look like the quest log. Eventually when these become true AR you'll have waypoint symbols, markers above key objects etc.

I will say it will probably be more like VR games where developers need to be a bit more subtle and people sometimes want to put all the HUD elements away to get a more immersive experience.
