Doing a reverse lookup on the IP shows a German (.de) registrar and nameserver so I would guess Germany, but it's entirely possible to have registration and server locations in different countries. Maybe our Captain could tell us, but I don't know if that's sensitive information.

It is in Germany. Look at the owner of that IP. Contabo.de. They rent Proxmox VMs for incredibly cheap (6 euro/month for 4 cores, 8 GBs of RAM and 200GB SSD), I have one of them as well.

Man that -is- cheap, 80 USD a year, what a deal.

Not sure if you are joking, but it is incredibly cheap. But you gotta get your own DDOS protection etc. Don't really care. I run the webserver on it through cloudflare's free plan and that has been good enough

Not joking, I've looked into VMs myself and most are about twice that rate.

Yep, Contabo is cheap but trustworthy. I don't actually remember how I learned about them, but I have had that VPS for almost 2 years at this point. They only increased the price by one euro last year

Damn, I've got to look into that myself. Mine's currently on AWS and costing me a small fortune
