The lifestyle you described is, once again, The Handmaid's Tale.
I am sick of those idiots taking Sci-Fi books written as fiction or warnings in the worst case, and use them as fucking user manuals.
I've never actually read it or seen the show. Should I?
Honestly yes. I don't remember the book that much, I think the show goes further than the book. It is sad, dark and gloomie tho, my wife refused to watch it for that reason.
But I believe it is a great warning.
