I'm trying to learn French, so I'm looking for places to get media I can watch and read. Bonus points if there are kids' books and TV shows -- I'm at an absolute beginner level here.

There is a shitload of movies/TV shows on www.zone-telechargement.irish/. The site might be inaccessible depending on where you live because of french justice's DNS block orders. Just enable DNS over HTTPS in your browser to restore access.

Get "TrueFrench" versions for metropolitan French (Paris), and "VF" versions for Canadian's French (Québec). If you are not at all familiar with French, I suggest you watch the TrueFrench versions, which use a French accent that is probably easier to understand to French speaking people around the globe
