According to a Saturday report in the New York Times, concern over ICE’s brutality has grown to such an extent that many Minnesota residents, including both documented immigrants and US citizens, have started wearing passports around their necks to avoid being potentially targeted.

CNN on Friday reported that ICE has been rounding up refugees living in Minnesota who were allowed to enter the US after undergoing “a rigorous, years-long vetting process,” and sending them to a facility in Texas where they are being prepared for deportation.

I want to see somebody step up to lead the civil war

When it happens, It will happen like fall of the Soviet Union: spontaneous, unpredictable, and it will spread VERY quickly.

Why are you waiting, you can do it tomorrow!

USA is at most a plane ticket away.

How would I do it? What can I do that you can't? You want a random Canadian woman with no military experience or political experience and severely lacking in social connections to just go to the Untied States and declare I'm leading a civil war against the regime? Why don't you do it?

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 6 months ago

What the fuck, I'd follow you.

So, you're calling for OTHERS to put their lives on the line, and just want to watch?! Cool cool

You're calling for others to die for YOUR entertainment, am I here to follow your commands?

No thanks. I would never ask others to put their lives on the line whilst I do absolutely nothing but boss them from afar.

But you do you! Takes all kinds, no stepper

If you're in Canada, odds are good you're a lot closer to Washington DC than I am...

It isn't for my entertainment, it's because MAGA is a threat to everyone and needs to be stopped

Secondly, WHERE did I call for random people to lead the civil war? The person replying to me asked for me, a random person, to lead it somehow. I'm asking for a politician or military leader to step up so that there will be actual power and authority on the side against Trump. I'm asking for state governments to take action against ICE
