I have content on a mastodon account I would like to replicate over. I couldn't see how to get an API key in Loops. Is this possible yet?

No it is not the same as the mastodon API, at least I don't think so...

Loops videos are a special kind of post iirc so masto post doesn't show up

Just a syncing. Feels weird that despite fediverse being "connected", videos from my Mastodon don't show in loops and vice versa
