Lesbian IPV gets so completely unhinged for some reason. Like I don't run into it as often (unclear if this happens less or I just don't run into as many lesbians but like). I've seen black eyes and choke marks on straight victims and I've heard men screaming at their wife on the phone but the lesbians are just beaten absolutely bloody. Bruises and lacerations on the whole body. And the one lesbian offender we had actually wound up on phone restriction because she was screaming at her wife on the unit phone so often and was saying things that were deeply disturbing the other patients. Do you know how hard it is to get a judge to order a phone restriction these days? We usually even just let people dial 911 and possibly catch a charge unless EMS dispatch files for the order.
