No human would say that. Any real person would say 1m.

Or if you're a human USian, something like 1/2 fridge or 6 big gulps

Yeah that's clearly 1 000mm!

Joke aside: I use mm in woodworking as a main unit because it's my margin of error (±1mm). In this case cm makes sense for me
