Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.

Man I really don't understand Jacobin anymore...
Gassing up Jeffries while pretending Schumer is the norm for the Dem Senate?
Jacobin should be ringing bells louder than anyone that these two are lame ducks who don't represent the DNC, the voters, or even Dem members of Congress.
They've been lame ducks for over a year, and in less than a year congress votes on new leaders. And no matter what happens between now and then, they won't be the best choices and they won't win.
The only reason they're in leadership right now, is those elections were a week before the DNC chair election, so neoliberal threats still carried weight. They don't anymore.
And it's hard to believe Jacobin can't understand any of that.

lame duck: a politician in office after they have been voted out
Is this non-lame duck DNC in the room with us right now? The assertion that this isn't just how they always are warrants justification.
