You need the app StreetComplete - it's like a scavenger hunt while you're walking around, but you help fill in data on OSM in quick single-question format.

I find it helps pedestrians, cyclists, and the disabled the most, since Google also does a very poor job of presenting information relevant to those audiences. By making OSM better, we can create more users, which creates more contributors.
