My review

I've had it for more than I year, use it daily.

What I like about it

  • Glides smooth on surfaces
  • Good tracking
  • Long battery life
  • It has a horizontal scroll wheel

Why I hate it

  • I hate that it needs the special Logitech software to work properly
  • It takes a few seconds for the software to pick up and apply configurations each time it's connected.
  • The scroll wheel works inconsistently, often when scrolling fast, it doesn't pick up movements precisely or at the beginning of scroll it doesn't scroll at all. And this is not just me, I've seen others talk about this problem on MX Master 3s
  • Doesn't work with a cable, it's wireless only.
  • It's expensive garbage.
  • Bunch of BS unnecessary features

The worst mouse I've had. I wish I hadn't purchased it and I don't understand why so many people like it. That's it.

I just picked up the 2S and have no (current) complaints. Granted, I don't do much other than writing, so mmmv.

Don’t know about 2S, maybe it doesn’t have the problems that the 3s has. I’ve since sold the mouse and gotten a thinkpad laptop with a trackpoint. I’m loving it so far. I don’t do much mousing too, so those times when I open anything other than terminal like a web browser I finally don’t have to lift my hands off the keyboard! :)
