Seriously every other post, every sub seems like nothing but politics. It's so boring and disgusting. What made reddit great at one time was the diversity of genres and depth. Lemmy is very shallow and politically motivated it seems. I have been here since the Reddit exodus. It's always been this way.

Do different Lemmy servers have different content?

Are certain severs curated?

Where do I find the depth and deep subject matter.

Besides politics it's mostly technology, and humour. That's basically because only a very specific kind of person has chosen to be on Lemmy, at this point.

Here's a couple at random that are humour:

You'll notice it's mostly .world, because that's by far the biggest instance, and also not very political.

Lemmy.world is highly political, just for liberalism, the standard in the western world.

That is my view of stuff like Futurology and Vaporwave if you take their politics seriously it's liberal "realism"

But if you just take the aesthetic and get rid of all that shit you simply have modern Asia lmao

Makes sense, it's a good example though! Seems like Heideggerian back-to-the-land fantasies from the heyday of Germany 1930 👀 are more popular than Future Dystopian Asia now. I wonder why
