AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

It’s not pro-ai… it’s literally saying that we can pause AI just like we did _ insert other things we’ve paused _
Is there other widely accepted and used by general public tech that we have paused? Example provided is not even a good one, feels like it's saying since it can be paused when we want, we can just continue to use it till then.
What are you talking about, why are the examples provided "not good ones"
As a general public you can't access any of that tech without huge amount of money or political power, but you can access and use AI easily as it's widely available. It's a false equivalent.
You can buy a laser that blinds faster than the human neurons can signal "blink" on ebay for less than the cost of a takeout meal.
Anything over 5mW (Milliwatt - 0.005 Watt) can burn out retinas in less than a quarter of a second.
I think the point is that militaries and police aren't being equipped with those things, but they are being equipped with AI tools.
