They could show the original images...
We were unaware of Journal policies on keeping copies of the original images
lmao. What a pretext!
Imagine being a researcher and not keeping the original images over the figures sent with a paper.
And wouldn't they have the upload to the AI slop platform? Or did they also delete that chat?
Google deletes nothing
I wish dumb excuses got punished more harshly, because it's either trying to escape consequences or a genuine amount of stupidity that either way should have your degree and/or funding revoked.
Even if it was true. Why?
