They’re getting ready for civil unrest because they see a Great Depression on the horizon. Thank Trump and the Iran war for that. It’s going to take years for them to get global oil production back up and in the meantime they have no answer to a large population under increasing economic strain.
Fuck trump, but we’ve been heading for a global depression long before the recent events with Iran. The fiat house of cards is toppling over and anyone holding USD reserves (pretty much all Western countries) will feel a massive hit. Venezuela and the attempted taking over Iran’s oil were the last resorts to prop up the Petrodollar before complete collapse. The US is in its final days as the neo-Rome.
The oligarchs want a recession, they can buy up assets on the cheap. And they are flush with cash, the only thing they are missing is lower interest rates which are incoming with the new fed cuckold chairman.
No, we better not get oil production back up. It's time to move on to renewables
