Wait a second...how did they get that chimp finger.
They aren't exactly passive creatures who hold still for a photo.
You cut it off didn't you.....
You monster!!!
They obviously made a wish using a monkey's paw.
And as the monkey paw always does, it took their wish, then give them the finger.
Then they're out of luck, since chimpanzees aren't monkeys.
It corrupted their wish, like it always does.

if you're the one who shot him, then you don't get to say "The chimp was already dead when I cut it off!"
