I don't understand how that is embarrassing. It's a good American song.
It's a song encouraging homeless people to use the YMCA for housing and a meal. It could be a subtle jab at the state of homelessness in America while pretending to celebrate American culture. Might be a stretch though.
It's because Trump likes the song. It's not that deep. Or if it is it doesn't matter because to Trump it's just a song that he likes.
It does sound like a stretch, but it is the kind of stretch I appreciate
His wife called the song and little dance he does to it gay and embarassing or something along those lines. I'm uncertain if the Chinese were aware of this though.
