To mpv-shim? Yeah that works but is the stupidest shit ever, sadly. Linux tho. Dunno if works fine on win without the helper.

i honestly don't know what you're talking about. server is a container on unraid and streams to various playback devices. no helpers or anything else required.

They don't have an official jellyfin-client that can do HDR on Linux. Hence they rely on mpv-shim. Another app jellyfin casts to. Which sucks major ass.

The server can, the client can't.

And it seems they'll leave it this way coz mpv-shim "does work well". Hence my consideration to go back to emby.
