Vietnamese for lunch, my mouth is on fire and the serving was so large that I once I had my fill I still had an entire bowl for tomorrow.

How is everyone's day going?

I tried a new lunch spot, and had an extremely satisfying meal of Chinese braised beef brisket with daikon radish ๐Ÿคค

Haven't screamed out loud yet. Can't promise that will continue, especially the way tomorrow looks.

I do enjoy that I work somewhere that accepts that sometimes I'm going to SCREAM in the warehouse, whether it's out of happiness or absolute horror. Sometimes you just gotta.

Yeah, I do get to squee with glee at some awesome things, but for the next month or so there will be zero of that. A stress Cert. Would be very handy.

Work is weird - we're doing shittonnes of fix ups for our clients where they've made mistakes in their specifications, but very few new orders, specially for trusts. Everyone is chewing their fingernails down to the elbow waiting to see what the new legislation re taxation on trusts will be. So I am alternating between running around like a mad thing, and veging out to YT.

It would be a very strange time to be in any sort of finance/investment related role. Alternating between madness and veging out sounds like my normal work day, emergencies are always erratic.

All too true. This is a new thing for me - not sure I like it overmuch.

Not bad thank you. Doing crosswords with YL rn.

I installed the new jack in the bass I was loaned. The crackle has stopped but there's now a hum from the amp when I'm not touching the stings. My research says this is normal but it feels weird to my ear.

[โ€“] DolphinLundgrin@aussie.zone 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I had this once on a bass I inherited. Reversed the wiring on the jack and it stopped. May be worth a try?

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I reversed it and the hum got significantly worse.

Damn, sorry! That was my one piece of advice I'm afraid.

At least I know it's the right way around.
