The Gecko group

Thanks. Luckily the breeder is got him from was already kinda working on getting him used to handling so kinda got a jump start with that. Right now I'm trying to work on "choice based handling" where he'll walk onto my hand instead of my having to scoop him up. Whenever he wakes up for the night he'll make his way down to a peice of bark down at the bottom of the tank where he sits and waits because that's where I think he's learned thats where I'll come by and visit him or give him some bugs. I'll normally pull up a chair and just sit my hand in the tank next to him and keep it still to let him sniff and lick at it for about 15 minutes - half a hour, if he chooses to walk away I'll take my hand out and close the door, but then he'll normally come running back, I'll normally do that a few times a night while he's sitting there. He hasn't fully crawled onto my hand yet, a few times he's put his front feet on my hand but then turned around. I've found doing that and tong feeding him some bugs once or twice a week have helped alot to help alot to earn his trust
