A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.
Rules

I know the evidence says that therapy works in general, but yeah, it’s difficult to believe. And to be honest, I’d rather take a pill than talk to a therapist, all else being equal.
Well, I can only advise to at least try it.
And keep trying until you find the right therapist/therapy that works for you. There is huge variation in quality and effectiveness.
Not only quality but different therapists belong to different "branches" and every branch has its strengths and weaknesses when dealing with specific problems. A good therapist should recommend going to someone of different branch if they feel it would be better for you.
