So, what does Russia do here? If he doesn't follow through with his threats, Putin will look weak. If he does start another SMO, he's going to stretch an already over stretched army even further. If Russia fails in Armenia too, they will look really weak.

Armenians might want to get hold of as many anti-tank weapons as they can... and learn how to use them.

Armenia has the significant tactical advantage of not being on Russia's border. Georgia and Azerbaijan are unlikely to provide the Russian army access.

Georgia, under the Moscow-aligned “Georgian Dream” party, is firmly in the Russkiy Mir. They’re unlikely to send their own troops, though could allow Russian troops passage, rationalising it as good relations/cheap gas.
